The Secret History - 1992
The Secret History is the first novel by Donna Tartt , published by Alfred A. Knopf in 1992. Set in New England, it tells the story of a closely knit group of six classics students at Hampden College, a small, elite Vermont college based upon Bennington College , where Tartt was a student between 1982 and 1986. Under the influence of their charismatic classics professor, a group of clever, eccentric misfits at an elite New England college discover a way of thinking and living that is a world away from the humdrum existence of their contemporaries. But when they go beyond the boundaries of normal morality their lives are changed profoundly and forever, and they discover how hard it can be to truly live and how easy it is to kill.

Given the scale and number of works the poster project covers, I am nervous about walking away with only vague impressions. Hopefully this blog will counter that to some degree.
